*JUST BEGIN.*

Just after I received my fee structure from My University for my HND, totalling N650,000 in 2012, I went to met my Dad, at work

I explained to him that I had the admission letter and he smiled.

I told him however, "Baba, there is a problem. They need N650,000."

He held my hands, then slowly but reassuringly, said, *"Just Begin,* my son."

To ensure his point, he went home, he got into his account and gave me N14,000 in an account that had N20,000.

I was touched.

*I added N16000 and paid N30,000 into the account, and my journey to HND began.* 

Today, having reached the dream, I remember the words of my father.

*Just Begin....*

In everything you do, always remember, *JUST BEGIN.*

*Just begin, no matter how difficult it seems to be.*

It appeared to be difficult, but as time lapsed, I realised dad was right.

At some point before my defence, I gave up.

I still had a solid N300,000 to pay and they wouldn't give me a chance for my final defence.

*Then came a very unlikely help.*

I had supported a gentleman to undertake a project evaluation two times in the year.

I received his call cautiously asking me to meet him.

He was carrying a brown envelop in his hand.

He began, "OLAJUWON you will forgive me if you find my action inappropriate. For two consecutive times you have given me a job without asking for a Cent. This is very unusual with many people. I did not know how to approach you, but I am deep with gratitude. Please accept my small gift."

I quickly peered into the envelope and saw they were two bundles, likely in hundreds.

He confirmed that it was N200,000.

I couldn't believe it.

The words of my father,

*"My son, just begin"* came to mind.

*Don't worry how it will end.*

*Just begin.*

If you are building a house, *just begin.*

If you are planning to buy land, *just begin.*

If you want to continue with your education, *just begin.*

If you want to pay dowry, *just begin.* 

Nothing is more powerful than that advice.

*We just need to Have Faith and Begin.*

And I have revised this philosophy. 

Whenever someone is doing something, I always encourage them to *Have Faith and Just keep trying.*

When things get thick, I always say, *keep walking.*

*No matter how slow Just keep Moving*

*If you Can't Walk then Crawl*

*Just Keep Moving*

When things are intimidating, *Ignore.*

*Persist and keep trying.*

*Don't give up on life just because your challenges appear to be insurmountable.*

*Do not be defeated before you begin.*

Whatever looks like a mountain will soon become an anthill...

*but only if you begin.*

Not long ago, someone asked me, JAYONE, are we going to manage to build the office we want?"

My answer,

*"Let's just begin."*

*I believe in the power of Faith and Action (Starting) .*

No one Wins a race until they *respond* to the sound of the gun and begin.

*The secret lies in Beginning.*

Overtime, God has seen me through a number of projects because of this philosophy.

I have parcels of land that I acquired by simply paying N50,000...and, overtime, these have multiplied.

*I persuade you this day never to allow yourself to be threatened by the size of your problem.*

*The Journey of a Thousand Miles Starts with One Step*

*Begin in a small way to do something about it.*

*How Do You Eat an Elephant ?*

By Eating it *One Bit at a Time*

If it is lack of money do something small to get something for yourself.

*If it is a marital issue, look for a way to solve it.*

In whatsoever you face, *Just Begin.*

Even those with big debts can do something about it.

*Just begin by doing something little and it will shrink each day.*

I was not a millionaire, but sometime ago, I wanted to have a feeling of being one.

I drew a plan of how to hold a million in my account, at least for a few days.

After some months of beginning, I discovered it was possible.

*Three years and half of savings later, I got my first ever million.*

Even though I used it later on investments and expenses, it felt so good.

*Let's all Have Faith and Just Begin*.

LEADING PRAISE AND WORSHIP WITH HOLY SPIRIT

HOW TO LEAD PRAISE AND WORSHIP

1). Stop making the congregation stand when you wanna start 

(they'll do that by themselves when you start well)

2) .Share a short exaltation or scriptural verse. (Maximum of 1min) You are not there to preach.

It's not compulsory tho_.

To avoid being off key do some hyming to align yourself with the musicians

3)Sing with your eyes opened. It helps you monitor the service especially the congregation and time.

Your eyes shouldn't be completely closed throughout the ministration be lively

4) Sing popular or congregational songs. You are there to lead and not to do a solo. Don’t introduce more than one new song in a given service

5)Avoid changing songs quickly. Its not about changing of songs.

6) Sing every song for at *least 3mins* before u change to another.....it depends, just follow the leadings of the spirit

7)Be sensitive to the spirit. (Rom. 8:14)

8) Make room for the congregation to express their worship and prayer also.

9)Focus and be active on the altar as your involvement will have a great impact on the congregation.

10)Allow for a minute silence during the worship session. *It gives room for God to speak clearly to His children*. If you are boring on stage the service will be boring as well.

11)Pray some prayer before, during and after the Worship session. Don’t just sing through out you’re not a performer

12)Avoid leading and backing at the same time instead insert adlibs (sensible words),riffs and runs and allow others to back you...

13)You’re not alone on the altar when the pastor comes on the altar cooperate with him don’t compete with him also flow with the other worship leaders and musicians

14)Always be humble and back up other worship leaders if your desire others to back you up...

15)Your character and integrity is demonstrated by what you do or say out of the altar be faithful....

16)Lastly,Most people will copy what you do and you should be a good example...

Yet there’s no spiritual growth without obstacles. Every mature believer has at one time or many times dealt with unimaginable obstacles in the way of God’s direction for their lives. What to do with these obstacles? Reflect and meditate on the following 5 Biblical truths to help overcome obstacles in life:

Biblical Truth #1) Put aside all sinful behaviors.

“Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us (Hebrews 12:1).

Sometimes obstacles are in our way because of sinful or carnal choices that we are making. Because of the cross—believers are no longer chained to living in sin—we are free to walk away from sin by the power of God. It’s our choice to remain in sins because we find short-lived pleasure in them; however, we can’t expect obstacles to dissipate until we confess and repent of our sinfulness.

Biblical Truth #2) Trust in God for strength and wisdom to deal with the obstacles.

“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation” (Isaiah 12:2).

Many people will spend a lot of time trying to think and maneuver their way around obstacles in their own strength. Perhaps they are blessed with high intelligence or wealth that can open many doors. Yet for certain obstacles—our futile attempts to deal with them in our own strength—renders us powerless. We must depend on God for the strength and wisdom to overcome.

        strongholds in our minds.

Some obstacles that we deal with aren’t even real because we have let our fears, worries, or lies from others keep us paralyzed from dealing with obstacles. Many times the key to overcoming a major obstacle is to first deal with what we allow our minds to focus on and realign our thinking to be on par with the Word of God. Meditation, memorization, and reflection of God’s word on a daily basis will demolish every wrong thought.

Biblical Truth #4) Know that nothing is too hard for God.

“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27).

When faced with an enormous obstacle, it’s easy to fall into the error of believing that the obstacle may be bigger than God. Yet we know that’s not true in our hearts; however, our actions of unbelief and doubt reveal otherwise. We must stand firm in the faith that God is who He says He is—the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Nothing is too difficult for our God to help us overcome.

Biblical Truth #5) Recognize that God uses obstacles for His purposes.

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives” (Genesis 50:20).

Obstacles not only remind us of our weakness in and of ourselves, but they also are a reminder that God is in control. The Lord is never caught off guard by our problems or situations. He uniquely prepares and chooses us for the journey of dealing with our obstacles. In the process of working through and around them, we grow up in the faith and our testimony encourages others to press forward in the Lord.

I will tell you :

  Why do you have to increase your vocal range

  What are the benefits derived in attempting   to do this exercises..

They're many times singers would be wondering if I am a lady because of my vocal range especially when I really want to sing..
It wasn't easy at all because I remember how deep and dull my voice was and scattered without coordination nor projection of words..
You know at times especially for males you're kind of Shy or depressed when ladies starts singing you'll be underestimating yourself not even trying your mind has started feeding you with so many limitations..
One thing we get wrong is God sees the greater us, don't say you can't do it or it's hard, let me ask, how many times have you tried it?  Is it up to 100? The man that invented bulb failed how many times?
That's what happened to me the more I do vocal exercises I learn to train more!!!!!!!

So please anytime I give exercises just try it.. Keep trying and you'll be trying harder aspects of that exercises..
Now let's move to the main thing.
What is Vocal range?
Vocal range means how high or low you can sing..
Vocal range is your convenient High notes and low notes..
Each Singer is expected to know his or her vocal range and use it to train..
It's so depressing that some singers  can't still sing on any key from octave 3 on the piano they will just go off or be straining
Therefore there's a recommended vocal exercises for you.
And it will increase your vocal range that is being able to sing high notes..
It's a common exercise but it is not well practiced appropriately by singers because it's disgusting and irritating and kind of childish but the result shows if it's constantly done..
I've recommended it for old members but I really didn't explain in full details it's benefits and dos and don't
Lip roll is the most important vocal exercise among thousands of vocal exercises..
It has been tested and approved by thousands of singing coaches all around the world.
But the issue is most singers are not doing it correctly I remembered I sent a voice note but I guess only one or two got it nearly right..Now lip roll shouldn't be done in a hurry nor without concentration..If you're doing it you shouldn't grab at it just flow.. Feel the vibration while doing it.. The vibration builds up resonance

Now let's see the benefits of this exercise,can I start?
Because doing an exercise without knowing the outcome after all the quality time spent is really Bad and futile
Therefore check out all the exercises you've been doing for years.. Ask yourself do I know their benefits?  If you don't you better ask a coach or PC me.. You maybe doing a irrelevant exercises
It's dangerous at times. But Lip roll is a constant exercise, there’s no cause for alarm..
Benefits of Lip roll exercise

1. It teaches your singing organs to work appropriately..
2. It reduces vocal fatigue
3. it reduces vocal tension.
4. it makes your vocal color smooth and your voice clear..
5. it warms up the body to be ready for singing..
6.it increases vocal range
7.it builds up vocal resonance that is, you'll have a rich vocal tune.
